General Church Board has approved a statement on Voluntary Assisted Dying. All entities of the church are asked to promote the paper within their communities and use it as a resource in their caring and counselling ministries. The statement is available on the LCA website (Volume 3, Section H) or click here to download. Each year, the Local Mission department facilitates a Season of Prayer, inviting and calling on congregations of the LCANZ to pray. This year, it is scheduled for 10 to 24 September 2023, and the theme is ‘Lord, renew your church’. Resources will be provided for worship, sermon suggestions, Bible studies and more.
