Read more DATE CLAIMER LCANZ GENERAL CONVENTION OF SYNOD In Memoriam VERNON KLEINIG (30/07/1948–28/05/2023) Pastor Andrew Brook has been elected as the next bishop of the LCANZ’s SA–NT District. Pastor Adrian Kitson will replace Pastor Andrew as First Assistant Bishop, while Pastor Joel Cramer will continue in his role as SA–NT Second Assistant Bishop. The SA–NT District Convention also endorsed the new role of Assistant Bishop for the NT. When a neighbour comes knocking is a new resource from Local Mission containing information about providing crisis assistance in your congregation. Crisis assistance (sometimes referred to as emergency relief) is the provision of material aid to a person, couple, family, or community in immediate need. It may also include a referral to other specialist community services, such as personal counselling or financial counselling. When a neighbour comes knocking offers guidelines for establishing crisis assistance and ideas for a typical food parcel. It also provides suggestions for managing risks associated with confidentiality, negative behaviour, referral and more. Read more LCA International Mission is seeking volunteer English-speaking conversation partners for seminary students from STT Abdi Sabda in Indonesia. The online program, which will run from 12 July to 8 August this year, aims to give students the chance to practise their English skills with a native speaker and to grow in confidence.
