The story of the LLL, which is turning 100 this month, is unique. It shows how the vision of one person, Mr Ben Koch, has given many people the opportunity to serve God, his church and use their God-given resources and talents to advance the sharing of the gospel. Read more, including details of the anniversary live-streamed service ...

GCB installations in home congregations

In a break from tradition, the recently elected General Church Board (GCB) members will be installed during a regular service at their home congregations. In the past, GCB members have been installed at the conclusion of the General Synod at which they were elected. This was, of course, not possible at the online sessions of the 20th General Convention. Please pray for our GCB members (including Assistant Bishop Neville Otto) as they take up their important duties for the 2021–24 synodical term.

Paul Argyle – Palmerston North NZ, 21 November, by Pastor Geoff Schefe
Kim Baumeler – Hobart Tas (live-streamed), 5 December, by Pastor Stuart Kleinig
Charmaine Harch – Brisbane Qld, details to be advised

Tim Stringer – Greensborough Vic, 19 December, by Assistant Bishop Neville Otto
Mel Zerner – Blackwood SA, 28 November, by Pastor Kevin Wood

We are preparing the 2022 Yearbook, which uses the data your congregation has in LAMP2. Congregation office-bearers: before Friday 26 November, please check your congregation's details in LAMP2. If there are incorrect details, please send details of the wrong data (screenshot is fine) and corrected data to lamp2@lca.org.au. Please also check that your LCA congregation email is correct and that you can access emails via that address. Authorised office-bearers can access the LAMP2 database and congregation emails via the LCA Portal (click on the portal link at the top of the LCA website and log in with your LCA email address). If you need help to log in, or cannot access your congregation email, please contact IT Services at itsupport@lca.org.au or 08 8267 7380.

The LCANZ’s Commission on Worship (CoW) is offering new resources about our Lutheran worship practices for those who are keen to delve deeper or teach others. They are designed to complement the worship pack from Grow Ministries. CoW has produced a series of nine short videos with accompanying fact sheets as a guide to the key elements of worship. You can find them on the Worship Planning Page.

Due to COVID, the survey period for the National Church Life Survey (NCLS) has been extended until February 2022. Nearly 3000
churches have signed up so far, and it's not too late to participate. Churches will receive a survey kit to help them run the 2021 NCLS.
A full sample of the kit can be found here.
