The LCA Learning Hub provides church members with information, training, links and resources on a broad range of subjects that are essential and relevant for congregations, parishes and their leaders. It replaces the Congregational Leadership Training package but is more comprehensive and wide-ranging in the topics and subject matter it covers. Read more, including how to access the hub ... The LCANZ’s General Synod will be able to meet electronically should this be necessary in future, following the approval of changes to the church’s bylaws. The changes to the relevant bylaws were approved earlier this month by a postal ballot of delegates from the 2018 Convention of General Synod. Australian Lutheran College (ALC) has developed an online Lay Preacher Training module. With content derived from ALC’s pastoral training program, the new module is intended to better prepare lay preachers and support them in their service during pastoral vacancies and other circumstances of need. And it's not too late to get involved as a walker or to donate to support refugee children to go to school. Volunteers are still needed for the Barossa Valley SA event this Saturday, where almost 600 people have so far registered to walk, run, wheel, or cycle their way along the 26-kilometre course from Nuriootpa to Lyndoch. Lutheran Women of Australia (LWA) Convention is to be held on 24 and Saturday 25 September in Horsham Victoria, with the closing service on Sunday 26 September. The theme for Convention is 'BEING strong in the Lord' (Ephesians 6:10–18). Registrations are now open through the Lutheran Women magazine website. Living Water, the LCANZ’s simultaneous art exhibition, is an opportunity for artists of all ages, stages and media to share their artwork in the local community.
