We're going weekly! This year we're introducing a weekly LCA eNews, alternating between the themes of Congregational Life and Ministry Support. You'll notice we'll be highlighting one particular issue in each edition, which we hope you'll also share with your congregations and communities during the week. All the resources you are likely to need are at the Spread the Word page on the LCA website. We're kicking things off with a Ministry Support (red) eNews. Watch out for the Congregational Life
(blue) eNews this time next week. As always, we invite your feedback on ways we can improve this communication service to you.
To share this eNews with your congregation, copy this link into your print or online bulletin http://lcaenews.online/200205
DISCOVER is Australian Lutheran College's new fully accredited Diploma in Theology program. It can be completed over one year full-time or up to three years part-time. It's for anyone who is thinking about becoming a pastor, a teacher or a lay worker - and for anyone who just wants to explore where God might be leading them. You will study, explore and grow in the context of your local congregation or community. You won't need to be based in Adelaide.
Your congregation members will want to know more. Here is the news story about Discover.
Here are your downloadable promotional resources, for bulletins and announcements.
And here is your video, to share directly from LCA Facebook with members and friends.
The Lutheran kicks of a new year with some terrific stories about Lutherans who have followed God's call to serve overseas. Plus all your favourite columns are back this year.

Ordained 15/9/2008; served Titjikala NT (2008–2020); died 22/1/2020; mourned by children Darren J Wilyuka and Roger Clem Wilyuka and families.
THANK YOU! As at Friday last week, Australian and New Zealand Lutherans and friends had generously donated $126,800 to help people affected by bushfires to get back on their feet. This kindness is in addition to that shown by Lutherans and their communities in many other ways, including making and delivering meals, opening their church facilities for refuge and respite, mending fences and cleaning up properties. If you still want to donate, you can do so through the LCA Disaster & Welfare Fund. STATISTICS Statistics for congregations for the year ended 31 December 2019 are due by 28 February 2020. They are to be entered into LAMP (not LAMP2). If you need a login, please call the LCA office: 08 8267 7300. CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY At your February council meeting you might like to introduce
members to this new policy:
