The appointment was based on the nominations provided by the Standing Committee on Nominations to the 19th General Convention of Synod. Pastor Stringer joins the other members of the GCB elected at Convention for the synodical period: Bishop John Henderson, Assistant Bishop Andrew Pfeiffer, Mr Paul Argyll, Ms Charmaine Harch, Ms Faye Schmidt, Mr Tim Wiebusch, Mr Mel Zerner and Mr Peter Zweck. It meets at least twice a year. We are looking for people who have a good understanding of what is required of members who may be elected or appointed to serve on the boards, councils, commissions and committees of the church.
