PRAYERS Please continue to pray for delegates, LCA leaders and staff, volunteers and visitors in these final weeks before General Convention. A prayer for each Sunday is available on the Prayer/Worship page of the Synod website; it is also distributed every Wednesday morning via Synod eNews. SYNOD OFFERING We had previously advised that the Synod
offering would be directed to the Local Mission 'You're Welcome!' video project. However, given the gravity of the drought affecting large parts of Australia, it has been decided to direct the offering to the support of struggling farming communities. The LCA Disaster & Welfare Fund will receive the offering, and donations will be distributed in accordance with the fund's existing procedures and regulations. Your Synod delegate has details about how and where to contribute to the Synod offering.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has invited the LCA to participate in its annual International Scholarship Program.
